In Celebration of

Concetta De Martis

December 8, 1934 -  May 7, 2020

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She passed away peacefully in Mississauga on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at the age of 85.

Concetta De Martis (nee Candelora) was predeceased by her husband Sebastiano (Nino) and her youngest son David.

Loving mother of Elisa Traccitto (Reg), Tony De Martis (Daiana), Angela Horchover (Terry). Proud grandmother of Brigette Roberts (Chris), Nicole Fanelli (Michael), Reggie Traccitto (Megan), Michael De Martis and Matthew De Martis. Cherished great-grandmother of Jack, Carter, Michela and David. Loved sister to Franca, Assunta; the late Filippo, Clara, Maria, Carmina, Sandro and Pierina; many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; and special aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

Born in Italy, Concetta moved to Toronto in 1956 with her brothers and sisters to start a new life in Canada. She was a gifted seamstress and tailor. Her passion showed in the quality of the garments she worked on during her career and for her family. Her gentleness and kindness will always be remembered by her large family - she will be forever in our hearts.
