Clarence Bradley Schneller passed away peacefully at home in Mississauga on June 21, 2024.
Brad was born on June 3, 1930 in Baden, Ontario, the son of the late Edna and Wilfred Schneller. He was predeceased by his sister Marion.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Sandra, daughter Ann, son David (Susanne), grandsons Jake and Evan and 9 nieces and nephews and their children.
Brad was a proud graduate of the Ontario Agricultural College, OAC ‘53. After graduation he went on to a 36 year long career with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food. He obtained a Master’s degree from Cornell University.
His passions were spending time in his garden, travelling, woodworking and collecting antiques. Family genealogy and history were also areas of great interest to him and he loved researching, sharing pictures, records and artefacts with a vast network of contacts both near and far.
Brad was a curling member of the Mississaugua Golf and Country Club and was able to continue curling into his late eighties.
He was an active participant in Probus, the Erindale Village Association and worked tirelessly to preserve history, especially his log cabin and the Erindale Community Hall. He also enjoyed volunteering at the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame.
He will be dearly missed.
Family and friends will be received at Turner & Porter Neweduk Erin Mills Chapel, 1981 Dundas St West, Mississauga on Wednesday July 3rd, 2024 from 2 - 4 pm. and 7 - 9 pm. followed by private family arrangements at a later date.
