February 16, 1923 -  July 30, 2021

Peacefully, in Mississauga, ON, Canada, on Friday, July 30th, 2021, Cirila, affectionately known as Filsu, passed away at the age of 98. Cirila was born in 1923 in Assagao, Goa, India and then lived in Nairobi, Kenya & Mississauga, Canada. Devoted wife of the late Menino Paul Fernandes. Loving mother of Tony (Vivien) and Rose (Roque). Cherished grandmother of Philip (Gail), Percy (Lily), Charlotte, Marlene (Lawrence), Errol (late Felicia), and Tania (Peter). Most loved and proud great-grandmother of Michaela (Brady), Meghan, Bianca, Nicole, Chloe, Keira, Chantal, Sienna, McKenzie, Madelynn, Peyton, Sophia and Jaxon. Amazing chef, devoted fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, an expert at crochet, and mother to all affectionately known as Mai. Cirila will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. The funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, August 3rd, 2021 at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Mississauga. Due to ongoing COVID restrictions, funeral attendance is limited to close family and friends, but the service will be live streamed (https://stmartinoftoursmi.archtoronto.org). A memorial donation in lieu of flowers can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

We were very sad to hear that our Aunt
Mai passed away. Our condolences to the family. She was such a loving and caring lady. We will miss her and she will always be in our thoughts and prayers.
