Sadly on July 16th Christopher the youngest of 4 brothers has succumbed to his illness. Since diagnosed with esophagus cancer in January 2022 he had been battling and receiving chemotherapy. He fought, but unfortunately we lost him too soon at the age of 59. Although Chris is gone, his memory will forever remain with us.
On March 9th he wrote: “Hey John, update from today…Mark came and took me to the hospital, it was great to have him with me for so many reasons. We checked in pretty quickly, maybe due to my case or because of my charm. I had the nurses and interns laughing from my jovial state and sense of humor.”
Chris was an entertainer at heart and loved magic!

On the sad day when Chris was diagnosed with cancer over a period of time we started sharing and texting some childhood memories…

"Hey Johnny, here are some pictures of the rides at Belmont Park and the best experiences you created for me growing up - this one was the salt and pepper shaker ride. I’m sure we did every ride together. Great times!"

"Hey Johnny, I remember wanting mini skis for Christmas and you got me real skis. Then learning to ski at Hogan’s Hill and then teaching you. My first real ski experience you took me to Mont St. Sauveur for my birthday."

"I remember so much of our lives together and proud moments like watching you play hockey at the St. Michel arena. There were so many hockey moments of us playing in the garage. "

June 24th, 2022 Hi Chris, I’ll pick you up at home and we'll do whatever you want today.
"Johnny, I was thinking Go carting but more like Formula 1 racing in Hamilton another thought was taking a helicopter ride over Niagara Falls."
...We decided to drive down to Hamilton for Go carting where he overtook me twice on the track!!. I don’t know where Chris got the energy but we laughed and had a great time.
3 weeks later my loving brother passed away...

It saddens me to think that our last great laugh was 3 weeks ago at the hospital…
The news for you were not good and yet you were still planning for the coming months.. You did not expect life to take such a short turn. Not now. Too fast. Too soon.
And there we were in your room with you… joking, laughing and enjoying the moment as if everything was fine. I told you to rest when we left ... you said you were going on energy saving mode. Never a dull moment with you.
Chris, being this good-humored and jolly man not only made people around you happy, but created forever fond memories.
I take comfort thinking that, up there on your cloud, lots of people are finally having fun!
You can rest now.

I played volleyball with Chris for 15+ years and shared a lot of laughs and good times with him both during our games and afterwards at the pub. Chris was a great friend to me and I will rember my times with him fondly. Love and condolences to Mark and the family.
