It is with great sorrow that we announce Tina passed away peacefully and unexpectedly in her sleep on March 3, 2023. Devoted mother of Joshua and beloved daughter of Susan and Ronald Francisco. Cherished sister of Jennifer and Craig (Pat) and dear aunt and cousin to many. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Tina was a voracious reader from a young age which was fostered by her grandfather taking her to the Baysville library every day during summers at Echo lake. She continued her love of reading throughout her entire life and enjoyed many genres.

From an early age Tina had a keen interest in art and attended the Ontario College of Art and Design. At OCAD she developed an interest in writing, with a focus on poetry. Several of her poems have been published. Tina was a long-time editor at the literary magazine Descant. She was an active contributor, including co-editor of one volume. She also worked on a number of editorial projects.

Tina had a beautiful smile, great sense of humour, and she loved to make people laugh. Tina was fiercely loyal to her family and friends and treasured her time with all. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, 5-8 pm. The Funeral Service will be at Morningside-High Park Presbyterian Church, 4 Morningside Avenue, on March 15, 2023 at 11 am. There will be a reception at the church after the interment at Park Lawn cemetery.
