In Celebration of

Christina Ann Mary Wilde

August 8, 1950 -  November 6, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Christina (Christine) Wilde on November 6, 2024, at the age of 74. Born in Montreal, Quebec, Christine was the eldest child of the late Joseph and Casmira Gudz. She will forever be remembered and deeply missed by her beloved husband of 52 years, Gord, and her loving son Christopher, whom she cherished beyond measure. Christine is also survived by her brother Randy Gudz (Debbie), her sister Debbie Reece (Doug), her lifelong friend Evelyn, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Christine attended Holy Names High School in Rosemount, Montreal, and went on to earn degrees in Arts and Education from Concordia University and McGill University, respectively. She was an extraordinary teacher in Montreal and Toronto, admired by her students and colleagues alike for her creativity, enthusiasm, empathy, and commitment. Going above and beyond, she touched countless young minds, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege to learn from her.

Alongside her dedication to teaching, Christine was the embodiment of kindness and thoughtfulness, consistently prioritizing others and enriching the lives of all who knew her. A loyal daughter, devoted wife, and nurturing mother, she was her family’s pillar of support and patience, filling their lives with love and wisdom. Christine’s caring nature and her remarkable ability to make people feel valued and remembered brought smiles wherever she went. Her warmth, generosity, and gentle spirit serve as a lasting reminder to treat one another with compassion. Christine’s memory and her selfless devotion to those around her will be treasured always. The incredible strength, bravery, and quiet courage she showed in her relentless fight stand as an inspiration to us all.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Turner & Porter – Neweduk Chapel, located at 1981 Dundas St W, Mississauga. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, followed by a service at 3:00 pm, where we will come together to celebrate Christine’s life and share precious memories.

It was so lovely getting to know you through Molly and Chris! You radiated such a beautiful energy and despite your health struggles at the time that we met, you had a smile on your face. I truly enjoyed our girls night, which consisted of some wine, conversation and a good nature documentary.

It was clear from the onset that you were surrounded by so much love and support. This was clearly a reflection of how much love you poured into your family.

You will be greatly missed by all those that loved you. May you be at peace and I know your light will live on in all those that cherished and loved you. Rest easy.

I'll hold my memories of Christine forever in my heart. Life is short and having so many years of friendship has left me sad but happy she is in a good place without pain or restrictions. True connection is knowing that time picks up where we left off with the only expectation is feeling the joy we shared.

A special lady who made a difference.
