She will be missed.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our friend and mother, Christa Hanalore Veneman. Christa passed away peacefully on the evening of Sunday, October 27th, after having a stroke earlier in the week. She will be sorely missed.

Christa had been in pain from a broken vertebrae after a recent trip with her son, Peter, to her homeland of Germany. She was in good spirits after her visit, with family and friends, on her return to Canada. Sadly, she had a major stroke shortly after, from which she did not recover. Her wishes were clear; no artificial support or prolonged care.

Christa leaves behind her two loving sons, Peter and Erik, Buddy her wonder cat, Erik’s wife Michelle and family, and all of her loving friends and relatives.

To say “she will be missed” is an understatement, but in Christa’s own style, the less said, but strongly worded, the better.

Mom, we miss you already.
