In Celebration of

Charlotte Weiler

June 30, 1923 -  October 10, 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of Charlotte Lamanda Weiler announces her passing at the age of 97 on October 10, 2020 at the Chartwell Westbury Long Term Care Residence.
Born in Stonehurst, Nova Scotia, Charlotte was a daughter of the late George and Iona (Wilneff) Tanner. In 1944 at age 20 Charlotte and her friends Brenda and Gretchen moved from Nova Scotia to Toronto. A few months later Charlotte met Norman Weiler and four years later they were married on April 10, 1948. They had two sons and lived happily in a house on Martin Grove Road in Etobicoke. She was a proud homemaker and devoted wife and mother and was always there for her family in time of need. Charlotte enjoyed attending St. Matthew’s Anglican Church and really appreciated the many friends she made there over several years. To name a few of her favorites - she enjoyed taking care of her home, long phone calls, visiting Nova Scotia, listening to country music, playing cards, sewing, eating lobster, eating Swiss Chalet chicken, making pies and brownies, drinking Red Rose Orange Pekoe tea, sending, receiving and displaying greeting cards and entertaining family and friends. Charlotte was a very friendly, sincere, polite, gentle, thoughtful, generous, loving and caring person. Charlotte will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.
Charlotte is survived by her sons Wayne and Garry, her sister Mona Belczowski and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Charlotte was predeceased by her husband of 34 years (in 1983), Norman, her sisters Blanche, Violet, Gwendolyn, Ethel and her brother Paul.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions attendance is by invitation only -Visitation Wednesday, October 14 at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, Toronto, followed by Funeral service at St.Matthew’s Anglican Church, Etobicoke. Interment at Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Etobicoke.

I have had the pleasure of visiting Charlotte and bringing communion from her church . It was lovely to see Charlottes Faith as she prayed and received the bread and wine during our time together! She was so appreciative and grateful! It has been a privilege to be with Charlotte!
