In Celebration of

Charles Elwin “Bud” Ketchabaw

August 2, 1933 -  December 17, 2024

Passed away peacefully on December 17, 2024 surrounded by his devoted family at Etobicoke General Hospital. Loving husband of 68 years to Beryl. Cherished father of Laura Camilleri (Jon), Paul (Stephanie), & Andrew (Lisa). Beloved Grandfather to Jennifer (Neil), Michelle (Tom), Robyn, Avery, Charlie, Darren (Duygu), & Megan. Dear Great Grandfather to Sadie, Isla, & Oliver. Pre-deceased by his sisters Doris, Donna, & Mary Lou. A devoted teacher for 36 years and tireless volunteer, Bud enjoyed jazz music, live theatre, and the symphony. He played the piano and violin and sang in a number of choirs. You could often find him doing cryptic crosswords and cross-stitch while relaxing at his cottage in Muskoka. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Salvation Army or the Scott Mission. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Turner & Porter Funeral Directors.

To my dear father,
There are no words that can fully express the love, gratitude, and respect I have for you. You were not only my father, but also my mentor and protector and friend. You taught me the values of strength, kindness, calmness and perseverance, and I will carry these lessons with me for the rest of my life. The memories of our time together will always hold a special place in my heart.
Thank you for everything you did for me, and for being the amazing father that you were. I will miss you deeply, but I find comfort knowing that you are at peace. Rest in eternal love, Dad.
With love always,
Paul
