It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our dear father, husband, grandfather and brother, Charles Ciantar. Charles passed away surrounded by family on Sunday Sept 1st, 2024 in his 73rd year.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Cathy. He was a dear father to Jason (Fatima) and Ellen (Brian). Cherished grandfather to Lilly and loving brother to Mary, Paul, Raymond & Mario and predeceased by his loving brothers Joe, and Rusty. Charles will be greatly missed by his sisters-in-law and his many nieces and nephews.
Charles was born in Birkirkara, Malta and emigrated to Canada in 1961. Here he worked very hard across many fields and became a pressman and worked at The Globe and Mail and The Toronto Star. Finally retiring as a lead pressman at the Toronto Star.
His main goal was always to provide for his family. Together with his wife they built a loving home.
God knew that Dad was suffering, that the Hills were hard to climb, So, he closed his weary eyes and whispered, Peace be thine, away in the beautiful hills of God, by the valley of rest so fair, Someday, we know not when, we will meet our loved one there.
Forever in our hearts, he will be missed and continue to be loved by all who knew him.
