Charles "Charlie" Doan

December 21, 1935 - November 7, 2019

Charlie passed away suddenly in his 83rd year. Loving father of Wilson (Anne), Bruce (Sonia), Paul (Kristin). Proud Grandpa of Normand (Austin) and Chandler (Stephanie) and brother to Lionel (Claudia). Charlie was predeceased by his wife Margaret Doan (nee Skitch), and his parents James and Vera Doan. Charlie was a long-time employee in the manufacturing of trucks and trailers. He enjoyed the many family gatherings and the meals that always accompanied them. Visitation will be held at the Turner and Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W, Etobicoke, on Saturday, November 16th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place, at the funeral home, immediately after the visitation. A light reception will follow. For those who wish, donations may be made to St. James United Church, 400 Burnhamthorpe Rd., Etobicoke.

We are so sorry to hear of your father's passing. Charlie was a calm sweet man who would help anyone when they needed it. He had a great workshop that contained all sorts of tools that bailed my Dad out many times. If Charlie didn't have the tool it didn't exist. When my Dad was alive they both made regular visits to California Sandwich's to satisfy their italian sandwich cravings. Charlie will be missed and we we are praying for him.
