It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cesare Lombardi. He fought a short yet courageous battle with cancer and passed away in the comfort of his own home as per his wishes. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 61 years, Antonietta and his adoring niece, Philomena. He was predeceased by his parents Carmine and Anna, brothers, Michele (Antonietta), John (Gilda) and
sister, Maria. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews both in Italy and Canada and a cousin in the United States.
Cesare’s happy place was when he was with his extended family and his great and great nieces and nephews. He loved to share stories about his childhood in Italy with us. His passion for his bocce at Huron Park, where he played weekly was always brought up in conversation. He went for daily walks through Huron Park and even in his final days reflected on his love for this and how he missed it.
