In Celebration of

Cecile Anna Zychlinski-Mielzynski

September 10, 1934 -  March 27, 2021

We are very saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Cecile Anna Mielzynski on Saturday, March 27th, 2021 at the age of 86 years. Cecile loved a good book, great conversation and good food. She loved to laugh and smile and was always the Bright Light in any room she entered. She loved life and was a true patriot to Poland where she was born and to her adopted homeland, Canada. Cecile loved her family and felt that Family and Faith (Catholic) were the most important things in the world. She was extremely loyal to her deceased husband of 60 years, Peter Zychlinski-Mielzynski (April 7th,2016) ,her parents Waclaw and Anna Skarbek-Borowski (Deceased),her brother Andrew Skarbek-Borowski ,her 3 boys, Grandchildren and the entire family. She was an extraordinary mother who was always there and very proud of her sons and grandchildren. She will be terribly missed and lovingly remembered by her 3 sons , Andrew , Peter Jr. (“Pepi”), Robert (Maria), and the grandchildren , Jenna ,Erin, Helena, Stefan, Gabriela, and Hania along with her great grandchild, Blake and her many dear friends and relatives. The family would like to thank all the dedicated people who took care of our mother over the years at Appleby Place (Burlington), St. Josephs Villa (Dundas), Joseph Brant Hospital, and Hamilton General Hospital. The care was very appreciated by all of us. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at St. Casimir’s Catholic Polish Church in Toronto at a later date due to Covid -19 Restrictions. Donations in memory of Cecile may be made with the Ontario Epilepsy Foundation. Online condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca

My deepest condolences to the family. I have fond memories of your mother when I was young as my parents, Adam and Hania Kreutzer were close friends with both your grandparents and parents. She was a lovely lady.

I was truly saddened by the passing of the always amazing Cecile.
She was a true Matriarch to her family. Yet she never showed any airs and graces that she could have. She was a true Princess in every sense of the word.
Her husband Peter was the love of her life. Yet she watched him dance with every women he felt he had to. Cecile also loved to dance. She waited for her husband to ask her as well but immediately understood and just laughed when he told her that by then he was so tired.
That is true class. We are all poorer without her and her remarkable husband.
Our sincere condolences.
