In Celebration of

Catherine Jakubczyk

February 24, 1959 -  March 12, 2023

It’s with our very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cathie Jakubczyk on Sunday March 12, 2023 at the age of 64.

Beloved wife of Ted for 44 years. Loving mother of Kelly, Sharlene (Ash), Chrissy (Oscar) and Nick. Adoring Nonna of Luciano, Maximus, Brady, Xavier, Landon, Chase, and Christiano who were her sweethearts. Sisters Gerri and Liz (Rick), nieces and nephews.

Cathie was born in Italy in 1959. She then came to Canada in 1960 with her mother Anna and father Francesco Dicorcia, sisters Gerri and Liz. Cathie grew up in Etobicoke where she met her forever love Ted. Cathie and Ted got married in 1979 and immediately started their family. Her daughter's Kelly, Sharlene, Chrissy and son Nick became her world. Cathie was the most loving, loyal, supportive, beautiful, daughter, wife, mother, Nonna, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She had a heart that was bigger than this world. Her laughter would just light up the room. Everyone felt love in her presence. Cathie then became a Nonna to Luciano, Maximus, Brady, Xavier, Landon (bambam), Chase and Christiano. Her grandson's made her heart full. The love that they all had for each other was something that was beyond imaginable. Cathie was happiest when her family was together sharing a meal. We are all so blessed to have been a part of her life. Cathie loved to dance and listen to music, mostly Motown. She couldn't wait to be able to dance at the next event. Cathie was the person who always made sure everyone was okay. Her daily calls with her kids and grandsons will be greatly missed. Her presence will be greatly missed. Somewhere over the rainbow way up high there’s a beautiful angel dancing in the sky.
