It is with deepest sorrow that the family of Carolle Ann Mitchell shares that their beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully in her home on June 13th, 2022 at the age of 85, looking out at her gardens, surrounded by family, love and grace, holding the hand of Edwin, her husband of 65 years.

Carolle will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband Edwin, her brother John Flynn, her children Jan (Ray Rodman), Mark, and Bruce (Carol Coxon), her grandchildren Justin, Cory, William, Chelsea, Nicholas, Christopher and Amanda, and four great-grandchildren. Carolle will be missed by many other family and friends, including her nieces and nephews, and her goddaughter. She was predeceased by her parents, John Raymond Flynn and Iva Grace (McCullough) Flynn of Stayner, and her daughter Laurie Ann.

A Celebration of Life will be held at her church on Tuesday, June 28th at 11:00am. Christ First is located at 1700 Mazo Crescent, in Mississauga. The Celebration of Carolle's Life will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person. The link will be available on this site on the day of the service.

Donations may by made in her honour to Christ First, The United Church of Canada [christfirst.ca/donations/] which is an integral part of her community, or to the Bruce Trail Conservancy [brucetrail.org/pages/ways-to-give]. I became acquainted with Carolle and her husband Ed last summer when I answered a request she had made for help tending her extensive gardens. We formed a kinship through our love of gardening. I will miss our messenger chats and mostly the genuine appreciation she expressed every week to me. Although I didnt know her very well or for very long I knew how gracious a woman she was. My condolences to Ed and the family. I will continue to tend Carolle's gardens lovingly as long as you need me.

I have so many fond memories of my Aunt Carolle, while visiting at their long time home in Mississauga, Christmases and summers at Monee and Papa’s home in Stayner, their visit to our family cottage on Crow Rock Island on Lake of the Woods and from our wedding in Vancouver. Our hearts are broken but she will always live on in our memories of her. Deepest sympathies to Uncle Ed, Jan & Ray, Bruce and Carol and the rest of our family who have lost such a pivotal person in their lives. With love and care. Shawn & Sue
