Carole Marlene Muir

December 29, 1942 - January 20, 2021

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our loving and devoted Mom, Carole, at Trillium-Mississauga Hospital on Wednesday, January 20, at the age of 78. She was the beloved mother of Joanne, Scott (Darlene Allworth), and Heather Muir and will also be greatly missed by her cat, Lucy. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Norman and Gertrude (nee Clayton) McKenzie.

Mom cherished her friendships with Sharon Aleve, Marian Hogan, Ann O'Grady, Ann Smith, Judy Bunting, Donna Donechy, and Marilyn Keenan. Our family would like to thank them for their kindness and support during this difficult time.

At Mom's request, a private family memorial service will be held in the spring. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Oakville & Milton Humane Society.

Thank you, Mom, for everything you have done for us. You will forever be in our hearts. We love you.

Joanne, Scott and Heather, my heartfelt condolences. Your mother spoke of you often and was extremely proud of all of you. She was a great support to me during difficult times. Rest In Peace dear friend.

We loved Carole and considered her and Ann O., Ann S. and Marion the heart of Erindale. We continued to meet them all for lunch since they rooted us in all the treasured qualities of the past: goodness, kindness, wisdom, laughter, heart. We didn’t get lunch since pandemic started and that has been much missed, but to lose Carole is too much.
