In Celebration of

Carmen Hernandez

December 14, 1938 -  September 24, 2020

Carmen passed away peacefully at home on September 24, 2020, at the age of 81. Known as simply “Nanay” to her family and friends, she cherished her roles as wife and mother. Her family was always on her mind, and she was happiest when she was surrounded by her husband and children. Nanay loved to travel the world, visiting countries like Israel, Italy, Thailand, and Singapore, but she also enjoyed exploring her own community as often as she could. Some of her favourite activities included walking around serene parks and marvelling at the colourful lights at Christmastime.

She will be forever missed by her husband of 61 years, Rodrigo; her children, Maria Corazon (Laurence), Jun (Socky), Baby, and Raymond (Christine); and her grandchildren, Deborah, Jeremy, Hannah, and Joseph.

Nanay will make one last trip to her final resting place in San Jose, California.
