In Celebration of

Carl Victor Outridge

November 22, 1929 -  December 2, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of Carl Outridge announces his recent death on Thursday, December 2, 2021. Carl passed, shortly after his 92nd birthday, at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario. He was the beloved husband of Paula for more than 66 years, the loving father of Lorraine (Neil), John (Patti), Kim (David) and Andree and the cherished grandfather of Colin, Scott, Kameron, Michael, Marc and Matthew. Carl also leaves behind his dearest sister, Margaret Mouttet, nephew Charles and niece Josette. Carl was born on November 22, 1929 to Mildred “Tita” Belling and Victor Outridge in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. His parents sent their children to Canada to attend high-school. After graduating from Loyola High School in Montreal, Carl attended Loyola College/Sir George Williams University and became a Chartered Accountant (CA). He married Paula Jordan in 1955 and they raised their four children in Notre- Dame-de-Grace (NDG) and Dollard-des-Ormeaux (DDO), Quebec. Upon retirement Carl enjoyed spending time with Paula, getting to know his 6 grandchildren, maintaining the friendships he had developed over the years, walking, reading and some travelling. His favoured hobbies were horse racing and investing. He was a proud man with a good sense of humor and always enjoyed a good argument. Our family would like to thank the staff on Emma’s Neighborhood at The Village of Erin Meadows and the staff at Manoir Beaconsfield for their loving and respectful care of our father and family these last few years. Thank you also to the very caring staff at the Credit Valley Hospital who supported our father and family in his last days. A private gathering and service will take place Saturday, December 11, 2021, in Mississauga, Ontario. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.

The funeral will be live-streamed on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 3 p.m. Please click on the link below just prior to 3 p.m.

Hi Paula,

I am so sad to read of Carl's passing. We have not been in touch for a very long time. I am glad to see that you finally moved closer to your children. I don't know if you got my message a couple of years ago but Pat (McCaffrey) passed away suddenly. Our party of girls is now down to Diana and I. We see each other regularly. I have told her about Carl so she will be in touch. I will also let Suzanne know. She is in Ottawa.
I hope to maybe get a note from you. Take care, Claudette
