In Celebration of

C. Lloyd Dobson

April 11, 1923 -  October 28, 2019

Peacefully passed away, on Monday, October 28, 2019, after a short stay at Credit Valley Hospital. Lloyd Dobson, at the age of 96, beloved husband and friend of Mary Dobson (Powell). Beloved father of Steven and Kevin. Lloyd is survived by brother-in-law Bruce Baker. Predeceased by brother Murray Dobson, sisters-in-law Dawn Dobson (Farrill), Beth Baker (Powell), A. Selina Powell (Macphail) and Dorothy Powell (Constable), and brother-in-laws Mac and Gerry Powell. Lloyd is also survived by a number of wonderful nieces and nephews and their children.

Lloyd was a graduate of Queen's University and held a Masters degree in Education from Columbia University. He spent his exemplary career as a well-respected educator in the Peel District School Board. His roles included Teacher, Vice-Principal, Principal, Superintendent, Associate Director of Education (in charge of academics) and acting Director of Education.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Neweduk Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga (at Erin Mills Pkwy.) on Friday from 2-4 and 6:30-8:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at the Streetsville United Church, 274 Queen St. S., Streetsville at 11 a.m., with Reverend John Tapscott officiating the service. This will be followed by a reception and then an interment at Streetsville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice, in Lloyd's name, would be appreciated by the family.

Lloyd was wonderful to work with while in a volunteer capacity at the Streetsville United Church. He provided great leadership to me as I stepped in to fulfill his role.
