We have lost a great man and teacher. Bruce was one of the kindest man I have ever met. Always willing to help someone. Well liked by students and staff as well. He had a smile for everyone.
I am sort to hear this sad news. Please extend my sincere sympathy to all of Bruce’s family. Norman Hunter and Bruce worked together for many years and shared their knowledge, experience and enthusiasm for technical education Norm had the utmost respect for Bruce and his approach to the art of teaching all of their technical students. I had the pleasure of working with Bruce at George Harvey and York Humber. He was also my brother’s teacher at George Harvey.
The last time I saw Bruce was at the last York Humber reunion and spent so time chatting. He even asked how my brother was doing. He was truly a wonderful person.
I am unable to be at the visitation as I am out of the country. My deepest condolences to all.
Thank you Bruce for your comforting demeanor and welcoming smile. Whether it was in the halls, the staffroom or the rink you brightened up my day.
I am sorry I can’t attend the service. I am out of the country, but I want to let you know that Bruce was one of the kindest, most patient and gentle people I have ever met. He was so good we the students, I often thought he deserved a medal for perseverance. I will always remember him.
