In Celebration of

Bruce Everett Francisco

September 14, 1941 -  March 28, 2024

Bruce Everett Francisco, born in 1941 St. Clair, Michigan, passed peacefully into heaven on March 28, 2024 surrounded by his family.

As an accomplished artist, father, coach and teacher, Bruce exemplified the teachings of Christ, dedicating himself to helping others and fostering a sense of community. His move to Canada in 1971 with his devoted wife, Liz (née Hayhoe), ignited a lifelong passion for capturing the essence of the outdoors in his paintings, reflecting the joy of family life and nature's beauty.

Bruce's legacy extends to his children, Jane (Colin Faulkner), Scott (Sarah Wilson), and Julia (Malcolm Shaw), and his four grandchildren – Greydon, Emilie, Peter and Paul – who embody his love, curiosity and kindness.

As a beloved teacher, Bruce inspired generations of students with his talent, warmth, and commitment to their growth. Bruce's caring spirit also led him to co-found a mission and school in Myanmar, where he played a pivotal role in rescuing and supporting children in need. His warm and inviting conversations, coupled with his inquisitive spirit, endeared him to all who knew him. Bruce's analytical mind and fascination with people enriched his life's work, reflecting a journey of unwavering positivity and faith.

A celebration of Bruce’s life will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Erindale Bible Chapel, Mississauga. A livestream link can be found below.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to MYANMAR Tachileik Children’s Home (https://int-ccm.com/bruce/) , the mission so close to Bruce's heart, furthering his dedication to education and spreading God’s love.

It was a privilege to grow up knowing Bruce and Liz and to a guest in their home or cottage. Bruce’s kind smile and big heart were so special. He was always so pleased to see all of Jane’s old friends and to hear how we were doing. Very special to have attended the retrospective on his art recently.
Love and prayers to the entire family

Our sincere condolences to the family. We have known Mr. Francisco for over 50 years through his lovely daughter Janey. My heart aches for your family as you grieve the loss of a very loving husband, devoted father and grandfather. God be with you and the family. Forever in your heart!

We spent many happy years of friendship with Bruce & Liz at home bible studies, church events, family weddings, dinners in our homes, weekend retreats and lately, the wonderful art show of Bruce's talented works - a real tribute to bruce's passions, emotions and skills.
Bruce had a gentle spirit and a loving heart and will wonderfully remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him closely.

Saddened to hear about Mr. Francisco`s passing. I spent countless Saturdays at the Francisco home as a child and always felt the warmth of he and Mrs. Francisco. Recently I took some of my students to a chess tournament at a nearby school and recalled that it was he who taught me how to play chess so many years ago. Such a gifted and kind man.
My sincere condolences to the whole Francisco family.
SIncerely

Bruce was a much loved member of our family, often bringing my sister, their children down to visit us. where he would immediately start to do any improvement project that was needed. He was a wonderful conversationalist drawing people out to find out their interests and help them with any problem.

He will be greatly missed in our family and especially by Bill and me , our children and
grandchildren.
