Sadly, we share with you that our "fair, bonny lass”passed away on Sunday, February 23rd. Bonnie was in her 75th year, loving wife of Ross for 51 years and beloved mother of Gavin. Dear sister of Diane Kennedy and the daughter of the late Norman and May Matchett. She will be remembered and loved by close extended family and many friends. Bonnie taught with the Toronto Board of Education in her early years and touched the lives of so many precious preschoolers at Bloordale Community School (Parks and Recreation).A private family funeral service has occurred, with a Celebration of Bonnie’s Life scheduled for Friday, October 9th, 2020 from 1pm to 4pm (Memories at 2 pm) at the Canadiana Restaurant and Banquet Hall, 5230 Dundas St West., Six Points Plaza, Toronto. If desired, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a Children’s Charity of your choice.
“We now have another sweet angel watching from above.”

Bonnie always greeted with a smile and welcome. Ross has been a close colleague through Council for Exceptional Children for many years and Bonnie has been a constant support by providing snacks and even driving us at dawn to a conference location. Ross’ stories always include Bonnie and her presence will be felt forever at our meetings.
