In Celebration of

Boleslaw (Bolek) Ostrowski

July 4, 1919 -  March 13, 2025

After a very long and productive life, Boleslaw Ostrowski peacefully departed at the age of 105 on March 13, 2025 at Copernicus Lodge in Toronto.

Beloved husband of the late Maria Ostrowski. Loving father of children, son John, spouse Stephanie, son Roman, spouse Lily, and daughter Barbara. Cherished grandfather of Erik, Adam, Julie, and Victoria. Boleslaw’s extraordinary life spanned birth in Poland, heroic exploits in WWII (in particular, at the Battle of Arnhem), relocation in England after the war, and finally stability in Canada as head of our family, working as Design Engineer for Massey Ferguson.

He had family and friends all over the world and especially in Holland which remained for him a special place given their continuing remembrance of the sacrifice made by Boleslaw and his fallen comrades from the Polish Parachute Brigade in Holland.

Visitation will be held at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel (2357 Bloor. W., Toronto) from 2-3 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025 followed by a chapel service at 3 p.m.
