In Celebration of

Bogdan Lajkosz

July 31, 1957 -  August 4, 2019

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear Bogdan on Sunday August 4th, 2019 at the age of 62 surrounded by his immediate family. Through his battle with glioblastoma, an aggressive cancer, he was cared for by his family, friends and neighbours. His sister, Krystyna, travelled from Poland to help his wife care for him and be by his side until his final moments. Bogdan was the loving husband of Lubomila for almost 38 years. He was a cherished father to Taras, Jaroslaw and his wife Natalia. Proud grandfather to his three grandchildren, Laryssa, Melania and Maksym. Beloved brother of Zenovia, Krystyna, Jozefa and their families. He will be profoundly missed but will remain in our hearts and memories forever.

As I sit in heaven and watch you every day,
I try to let you know with signs I never went away.
I hear you when you’re laughing, and watch you as you sleep.
I even place my arms around you to calm you as you weep.
I see you wish the days away, begging to have me home.
So I try to send you signs so you know you are not alone.
Don’t feel guilty that you have life that was denied to me.
Heaven is truly beautiful, just you wait and see.
So live your life, laugh again, enjoy yourself, be free.
Then I know with every breath you take
You’ll be taking one for me.

Hey Tato, It’s so hard to write this my lovely dad. I miss you so much. I want to thank you what kind of great dad you have been loving, caring, compassionate and a great provider for your family. You raised me to be a great man, which in return I found a beautiful wife and provided you with 3 grandchildren which you adore so much. Oh your grand kids, it brings tears to my eyes, you loved us as much as you loved them the way you looked at them, played with them, the sparkle in your eyes when your first grand child “Laryssa” was born is unforgettable. Then Melania came into the picture and here came the sparkle in your eyes again. As you were going through your struggle with cancer you were introduced to your 3rd grand child and hopefully last one from Natalia’s and myself a son. You met Maksym only for a short while 7 months that is, but never the less no matter how sick you were the sparkle in your eyes returned. You played with them so much, took them out for walks, on the swings gave them ice cream, I promise you dad I will never let them forget. Don’t worry about mom I will help her out, you raised me well and I will take care of your wife which you have spent 38 wounderful married years together. Taras your youngest son my brother, I will guide him to find love as you guided me to find mine. What I ask of you is please be our guardian angel, protect us, guide us away from evil and bring us closer to GOD. Tato I love you so much, I miss you.
