I was much saddened to learn that Birgitte had died and extend my deepest condolences to her immediate and extended families.
I have known Birgitte for some forty years, principally through her relationship with her husband, James, my friend and mentor for an even longer period. They were a happy and devoted couple during their years together and I hope their families will derive some degree of comfort from their support of each other throughout that period.
May she rest in peace.

Sad to hear of Birgitte's passing - still young at 71. We were volleyball adversaries way way back and re-connected when I worked with the Canadian Olympic Committee and Birgitte would travel with her husband James. She was always the epitome of graciousness and friendliness and so very lovely to me, always. Thinking of her today.
I visited Jim and Birgitta many times, as a health care professional. I had lived and worked in Denmark for a short period in my early career, and still retained a bit of the language and a lot of fondness for the culture. I always looked forward to seeing Birgitta's Christmas tree. And when I got married she gave me a lovely Christmas decanter with Danish designs on it. I will definitely think of her this year when I bring it out to use!
My condolences to the family on Birgitte's sudden passing. We heard the news on Sunday and I will be at the funeral tomorrow to pay my respects. Birgitte was a highly loved and valued member of the parish and I enjoyed our conversations and admired her many talents. She was always willing to lend a hand on many projects around the parish. We shall miss her greatly.

A true "star" in my world. Will miss her humour and sweet nature.
