In Celebration of

Beverley Cheryl Dueck (née Ray)

February 6, 1945 - November 14, 2025

With deep love and gratitude, we honour the life of Beverley Cheryl Dueck who passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, in Oakville, Ontario, at the age of 80. Born in Moose Jaw and raised in Mossbank, Saskatchewan, Bev carried the prairie spirit of resilience and kindness throughout her life.

Beverley was the beloved wife of Daryl, her steadfast companion for nearly six decades. Together, they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and shared purpose – a home that welcomed all and a family that was her greatest joy.

She was a devoted mother to Jeff and Kathleen and a cherished grandmother to Ryan, Alicia, Kaitlyn, Maggie, and Breanna. Bev delighted in simple pleasures: playing board games and cards with her grandchildren, sharing stories, and creating moments that will be treasured for generations.

Her generosity extended beyond her family. Bev gave freely of her time and talents, serving as a Girl Guide and Boy Scout Leader and inspiring young people with her warmth and wisdom. She had a rare gift for making others feel valued and loved, and her gentle spirit brought comfort and joy to all who crossed her path.

In recent years, Beverley faced the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease with courage and dignity. She was cared for by Daryl, whose support ensured her days were peaceful and filled with love. Her family is profoundly grateful for the time they shared with her in her final days.

Beverley is predeceased by her parents, Colin and Ruby Ray, and her sister Evelyn. She is survived by her sister Phyllis, brother Harold, husband Daryl, her children, grandchildren, and extended family who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.

We are profoundly grateful to the staff and organizers at Patty’s Place for their compassion and care. Those wishing to honour Beverley’s memory may consider a gift to Patty’s Place or to their local Alzheimer’s Society chapter.

A memorial open house will be held at the family home on Sunday, November 30, from 2:00–6:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to gather in celebration of Bev’s life and to share stories that reflect her remarkable legacy of love and kindness.
