Basil Lobo

January 1, 1951 -  April 16, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Basil Lobo on Tuesday, April 16th, 2019 at Credit Valley Hospital, surrounded by family. Basil was the beloved husband of Agnes, proud and devoted father of Michelle & Adrian, Roger & Ann, son of Thelma and Eric Lobo (deceased), brother of Evelyn (deceased) & Earl Reuben, Neville & Neomi Lobo, and Peter (deceased), uncle of Darren and Gavin Lobo, brother-in-law of Denis (deceased) & Beliza D’souza, uncle of Oliver and Shawn D’souza. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

Visitation will be at Turner & Porter Peel Chapel located at 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga, ON Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm and Monday, April 22, 2019 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Francis Xavier Church located at 5650 Mavis Road, Mississauga, ON Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 1:30 pm. Memorial donations can be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society in the name of Basil Lobo.

Dear Agnes,
Words cannot express the feelings of the loss of a spouse.
I still have a few cassettes which Basil recorded for me in 1980.
His choice of music for us will live on.

Uncle Basil, may your soul rest in peace! I remember coming over to your house on quite a few occasions and your generosity and humorous spirit was always something to look forward to on a dull day. You leave behind a very strong force in Michelle and Roger to carry on your family name and everything you stood for.
We will all miss you but know that you are one with the angels now on your terms.
