In Celebration of

Barbara Taylor

July 18, 1942 -  October 6, 2025

With deep sadness, the Family announces the peaceful passing of Barbara Jane Taylor at her home on October 6, 2025. Born on July 18, 1942, Barbara was predeceased by her loving parents, Harvey and Jen Corey.

Barbara is survived by her devoted husband, Donald William Taylor, her cherished children John (Danuta) and Jane Rancourt (Jeff), and her adored grandchildren Kate, Jackson, Mackenzie, Mason, and Emma. She also leaves behind her step- grandchildren Ethan and Owen, her beloved sister Pamela McDaniel (Jim), niece Monica (Denise), nephews Corey, Rob (Joanne), and the late Ian.

Barbara served faithfully as an elder and Sunday school teacher at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Memorial Church in Port Credit, Her generosity and warmth extended far beyond the church walls.

Barbara was known for her exceptional hospitality and love of cooking—her home was always open, and her table always full. Summers at the family cottage on Wood Lake in Muskoka were among her most treasured times, filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories shared with her children and grandchildren.

Barbara and Don were fortunate enough to travel extensively returning with stories that reflected their joy and curiosity about the world, but her favourite destination was the family cottage at Wood Lake. Despite her busy life, she always found time to escape into a good book.

Barbara’s life was defined by her selflessness and compassion. She gave freely of her time, volunteering with the Canadian Cancer Society and the Salvation Army. Her legacy is one of kindness, service, and unwavering love for her family and friends.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Celebration of life will take place at St Andrews Memorial Presbyterian Church, 24 Stavebank Rd North, Mississauga, on Saturday, October 11th, 2025. Visitation at 10am, Service at 11am, lunch to follow.
