Ciocia Basia, Richard and her kids are like family. I remember coming over and the adults upstairs and kids playing in the basement. I so much wanted to listen and hang out with the adults but sure did enjoying playing tag in the basement with Andrew and Roman.Basia was an important part of our lives and my moms best friend. We will miss her dearly.

Our life together begin with dancing and music, the first time I saw Barb was at a dance. It was love at first sight for me. We dated and quickly became a couple. We had many of the same interests. Barb liked to dance the Polka and I played in a Polka Band. She taught me how to dance the Polka the correct way. Over the next few years we went to dances, hockey games (I played she cheered me on), we played baseball together and socialized a lot. Barb started work at Gulf and had a 35 year career at Petro Canada and Suncor. We got married, bought a house and started a family. As our boys grew up we travelled a lot visiting family in Detroit, Chicago, Grand Island, Montreal and Calgary. Barb's Mom called us Gypsies because we travelled so much. The cottage in McKellar was one of her favourite places. We always spent a few weeks of summer vacations there. She loved her work, her family and friends. It would take many more pages to tell the whole story. All I can say is I will miss her a lot.
