In Celebration of

Barbara Mary Henderson

June 8, 1929 -  May 12, 2018

Passed away peacefully at home on Saturday May 12, 2018 at the age of 88. Loving wife of Glen and cherished mother of Gail and Brian (Elizabeth). Wonderful and devoted grandmother to Olivia and Liam. Predeceased by her mother Christina (Wolf) and father Joseph Scherer.
Although tiny in stature, Barbara was a whirlwind of activity. Always on the go and with a positive outlook on life, she had a cheerful hello to everyone she’d meet. Her family was everything to her and she was always thrilled when we all came together for a meal or special occasion. Barbara’s infectious laugh and non-stop hugs will be sorely missed by us all.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas Street West, Etobicoke (Dundas & Burnhamthorpe) on Wednesday May 16, 2018 from 6 – 9 p.m. A small, private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Glen, Lucy @ I wish to express our deepest sympathy to you and your Family
on the recent passing of Barbara.
In looking back many years, possibly in the early 50s I remember Barbara working
in the Ontario Hydro Accounting Dept. on the 3rd floor of the Orde St. Service Bldg.
Barbara was an extremely good looking lady who was noticed by many until a good
looking guy named Glen came along and swept heroff her feet.
Glen, you and Barbara were a great couple whose company we enjoyed over many
working years at Hydro as well as golfing events in your retirement years.
Ken & Lucy Richards
