February 20, 1935 - July 6, 2023
Passed away peacefully at the Village of Erin Meadows in Mississauga on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at the age of 88. She was the beloved wife of William “Bill” Higgins who predeceased her in January of 2020. Loving mother of Anthony “Tony” (Lori) and Jennifer. Adoring grandmother of Gregory and Kayla. She is survived by two of her nine siblings Gladys and Doreen. Barbara was predeceased by her Father Fredrick, Mother Margaret, Brothers: Harry, Fredrick, Ronald, and Raymond, and Sisters: Audrey, Phyllis, and Pearl. Barbara was an active member of St. Peter's Anglican Church in various capacities for most of her adult life. She enjoyed time spent at our property in Erin and on the boat in Port Credit.

The Family would like to thank the staff and nurses of the Schlegel – Village of Erin Meadows for taking such good care of Barbara for the last eight years.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada, in memory of Barbara.
