Barbara Joyce Hack

May 15, 1934 - August 27, 2019

Joyce passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at 85 years of age. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Ken (d. 2016) and leaves behind her beloved children, sons Scott (Lina) and Brian (Charmaine), and daughter Wendy (Mike). Devoted Gramma to Mackenzie (Jess), Arleigh, Felicity, Chelsea, Nicole, Kyle, Ruby and Farley. Sister to Ron Shepherd and David Shepherd (d. 2014). In place of flowers, donations can be made to Montgomery’s Inn, where Joyce spent the majority of her working years supporting the Inn’s restoration, immersed in historical and authentic costuming. The world got a whole lot smaller ... the stars at night got a whole lot brighter.
Joyce was truly an amazing bright light and a star. Her wealth of knowledge, her sense of humor, and her great sense of style will be missed by many. She was very dear to me and she warmed my heart with her smile. I will miss her.
