I fondly remember Barbara from a very long time ago when she worked for my mother Beth Slaney at her public relations business. From what I recall, Barbara was Mom’s right hand gal…always efficient and friendly and a lovely lady. My deepest condolences to her family. A life well lived.

I worked with Barbara in the Fairways library, she was my volunteer coordinator. She was a delight to know and a pleasure to work with. May she rest in God's eternal peace!

Dear Peter, Joan, Tim, Fay, Wendy and Tony.
I was so sorry to learn that Auntie Barb passed. I have wonderful fond memories of her from when I was a child. So many Christmas' on Mt. Pleasant and family reunions on Burbank. I remember when I was very young she used to bring out a special basket of toys for me which always made me feel special, or let me hit the gong to announce that dinner was ready. As I grew older she was always interested in what I was doing. She took time to ask questions and made me feel as grown up and as interesting as my older siblings. She was kind and I am sure a wonderful mother. You were blessed she was yours!
What a wonderful picture of her that you included in her obit - that is exactly as I remember her. The genuine smile, the pearls, the pretty suit jacket. She was always so well put together when I saw her, in a sophisticated yet not fussy way. She seemed so down to earth to me.
I often reflect that in my family of two girls followed by a boy - she is like my Adelaide, the younger daughter, the middle child, blessed with the ability to be friends with both her older sister and younger brother. The family connector. I think in my limited knowledge of their situation, that could have been Barb too.
I hope that happy memories of her long life well lived will bring you all some comfort in this time of loss.
With deepest sympathies,
Lots of love
