In Celebration of

Baiba Kupcis

June 6, 1944 -  December 28, 2020

Born in Latvia on June 6, 1944, Baiba died peacefully on December 28, 2020 in Toronto, having lived a life filled with love.

Predeceased by her parents Alida Lucija and Boriss Glebovs, she leaves behind many loved ones in Canada, the United States, and Latvia.

Baiba married the love of her life, Ojars, to whom she was a loving, supportive, and devoted wife throughout their life together. She was an incredibly dedicated, loving, and doting mother to Laura and Jennifer, grandmother to Khalyn, Lucas, and Zoe, and a devoted sister to Mara.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Kristus Darzs Latvian Home, St. Andrew’s Latvian Church of Toronto, or a charity of your choice in her honour.

This is such sad news. I am sending heartfelt sympathy for your family's loss. Baiba will be remembered as a very beautiful and caring wife, mother and friend. She loved and was loved. She made a difference.

To Mara and all the family, I'm so sorry that Baiba died so young and was taken from you so early. It must be especially difficult to mourn her during the pandemic. Do take care of yourselves and each other in this terrible time.
