Audrey May Taylor

June 30, 1923 -  December 5, 2022

Audrey May Taylor passed away peacefully at the Toronto Western Hospital on Monday December 5, 2022. Audrey was 99 and was born in Toronto on June 30, 1923. She was a dedicated provincial civil servant with the Ministry of the Attorney General and a longtime member of Wychwood-Davenport Presbyterian Church.

She was predeceased by her loving parents Mary (May) Townsley and William John Taylor both of Belfast, Northern Ireland. She will be fondly remembered by her cousins Audrey and June of Northern Ireland. To her relatives and many friends she was their special "Aunt Audrey" and will be dearly missed.

The funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 15 at Turner and Porter, Yorke Chapel at 2357 Bloor Street, West, Toronto.
Visitation at 10:00 a.m. Service at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Reception. Interment at Prospect Cemetery.

We would like to acknowledge the care and friendship she received from the staff and residents of St. Matthews Bracondale House. They helped her to live independently into her 100th year. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to St. Matthews Bracondale House or the Toronto General and Western Hospital Foundation.

Audrey and her mom were long time friends of the "Fox" family, having come from Belfast, Northern Ireland. and would spend a lot of their summer in Bracebridge staying at Bagnor Lodge. A Beautiful Lady, and a life well lived. We are glad to hav had you in our life.

They don't make them like that anymore! I have known Audrey Taylor for over 40 yrs and have never in my whole life met another person like her. She was way ahead of her time in the women's lib movement - and a role model for me who was just starting out in the working world. We had some great times, celebrating many birthday parties and get togethers at mutual friends homes. RIP my dear friend Audrey
