In Celebration of

Assunta Suozzi

August 30, 1938 -  May 7, 2025

God called Assunta peacefully, with family by her side, on May 7, 2025 at Trillium Health Partners, Mississauga at the age of 86. Beloved wife of Donato Mario, loving Mother of Nicola (Tammy) and Tony (Gisella). Much loved Nonna to Samuel, Sarah, Michael, Selena, Christian, Christina, Anthony and Robbie.

Assunta left her home in San Fele, Italy, in 1964 to join her husband and start a new life in Canada at the age of 25. She had many talents and occupations at which she excelled (seamstress, culinary, baking to name a few). By far her favourite was caring for her family, which she dedicated her life to doing. She was a very warm and caring wife, mother (mother-in-law), nonna, sister, aunt and friend. Assunta was always at the ready with candies in her pocket for her grandchildren or to turn a coffee visit into a five course meal.
Assunta was loved by many and will be truly missed by all who knew her. Always in our hearts, thoughts and prayers, we love you.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter “Peel” Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., (Hwy. 10, N of the QEW) on Monday from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held at Sts. Peter & Paul Church, 4070 Central Parkway E., Mississauga on Tuesday May 13, 2025 at 9:30 a.m..

Entombment Assumption Mausoleum.

If desired, remembrances may be made to the Baycrest Hospital Foundation.

Dear Mom,

Thinking of you on this Mother's day.

We celebrate this day in your memory and as a reminder that you are always with us, in our hearts and memories, that we will cherish forever. We will miss your hugs and kisses and the way you knew how to make every moment special. Thank you for always taking care of us, we were so fortunate to have you as our mother.
I know that you are in place where you no longer will feel pain, suffering and sadness but peace and joy and for that I am thankful but it doesn't help the sorrow I feel knowing you are gone. Knowing that we will call your name or want to hold your hand but you won't be there.
We will miss you forever but will try to smile whenever we think of you.

Love you Mamma
