In Celebration of

Arthur Marian Jasinski

July 16, 1937 -  January 28, 2023

Passed away peacefully at home. Beloved husband of Jadwiga Ciesielska, loved father of Edith Bateman (late Chris), uncle to Mark Salvor (Jo-anne Snyder), great uncle to Conrad Salvor, much missed by stepsons Jakub, Pawel, Marcin Ciesielski and their spouses, along with cherished grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife Mary (nee Barr), his parents Michal and Karolina, and his brothers – Franek and Jarek, and sisters – Irena and Zosia.

Despite having his childhood disrupted by the horrors of War World II, spending his early life in a Nazi camp, and enduring the strict regimen of a boarding school in the UK, Arthur was always grateful for his life and mostly for being able to fulfill his dream - making a life in Canada.

Arthur loved aviation. After graduating from Northrup Institute of Technology (Northrup University) Arthur was an aircraft mechanic at Air Canada for 25 years.

Art’s optimism and positive outlook will be missed by many.

Family will welcome visitors at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., Toronto on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, visitation starting at 10 a.m.; Chapel Service will be at 11 a.m., followed by the reception. Burial will take place at 1 p.m. at the Park Lawn Cemetery, 2845 Bloor St. W., Toronto.

Uncle Art, as I always knew him, welcomed me into the family with warmth and kindness and I enjoyed chatting with him whether we met up with him in Toronto at family events, for coffee in Roncesville or at his home where he always made Conrad and I feel very welcome.
I remember him with fondness
