In Celebration of

Antonietta Mazzucco

January 21, 1927 -  August 5, 2024

Passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, August 5th, 2024, at the age of 97. Beloved wife of Alessandro Mazzucco for 59 years. Much loved mother of Leonardo (Mary Jane) and Alex (Ida). Loving grandmother of Alessandro (Anley), Luigi (Nicole), Antonietta (Andrew), Sabrina (Kevin), Adriano, Camillo and great-grandmother of Isabella, Ayla, Aiden, Mariella, Gracie and Bianca. A generous, devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all her family and friends. Antonietta had a zest for life and deep love for family. Having immigrated to Canada in 1954 with her husband Alessandro and son Leonardo she was able to build a life for herself and family. Her commitment to hard work, resilience, and tenacity were evident in all that she did. She was dedicated to both her job at Consumer’s Glass for 37 years and to her family. She was constantly, baking, sewing, crocheting and preserving or distributing the fruits of the harvest from both her farm and home garden. Her greatest joy in her life were her children and grandchildren and ensuring that they were safe and taken care of and that they would have the opportunities that she could only dream of. We will carry with us her love and cherished memories.

We are grateful to Rhea Dominguez, caregiver, and her loving family for their steadfast kindness and love. We would also like to thank Dr. Sorrento, Dr. Paola and Dr. Williams for their genuine compassion and care.

Viewing will take place at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke (between Kipling and Islington Ave.) on Thursday August 15th, 2024, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Friday, August 16th, 2024, at Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church, 61 Jutland Rd., Etobicoke at 10am followed by entombment at Glendale Memorial Gardens.

It is very sad to hear of the passing of Antonietta. I always remember her kind heart, and gracious smile and how she loved to share her delicious baked goods.
She will be missed by her family who loves her very much!
