In Celebration of

Antonietta Greco

September 25, 1932 -  January 10, 2023

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Antonietta Greco on January 10th, 2023 at Wesburn Manor, at the age of 90.

Beloved wife of the late Giovanni Greco.
Loving mother of Nick(Linda), Maria(James), Anna(Gary).

Adored nonna of Tyler(Deneika), Matthew(Riley), Cory, Jamie, Carrie, Randy(Jennifer), Chris, Mike(Monica), Steven, Nicole and Breanna.

Proud great-grandmother of Kingston, Callum, Conner, Quintan, Adrianna, Charlet, Ava, Mercedes and Michael Jr.

Dear sister of Emma(Frank- deceased).

Sister-in-law of Tony, Gina and Donatina.

Antonietta will be forever remembered for the love and devotion she had for her family and her faith in God. Her greatest joy was cooking and baking for la famiglia. Having her family gather around the table feasting on her delicious meals brought her so much happiness. No one ever left Nonna’s house hungry.

For the last 10 years, Antonietta lived with dementia. The family would like to thank the many caregivers at Wesburn Manor for their exceptional care and support.

She will be held dear in the hearts of her family, relatives and friends.

We were so blessed to have her in our lives, she will be missed but never forgotten.

A visitation will take place at the Turner and Porter Butler Chapel on Friday January 20th from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. A funeral mass will be held following the visitation at 12 p.m. at Nativity Of Our Lord Parish with an entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausoleum.

The immediate family will have a private Celebration of Life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or CAMH(Dementia Research) in memory of Antonietta.

Dear Nick, Maria, Anna and family. My deepest condolences on the passing of your beloved mother. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all your family at this sad time. Antonietta was a kind and loving person and a dear friend and neighbour. I enjoyed the visits with her at the nursing home over the years. She is now in heaven with her loving husband Giovanni. May memories of your mom remain in your hearts forever. God grant her eternal peace.
Love, Teresa Lavorato

The last 7 days leading up to my mothers death were physically and emotionally trying. I hated watching my mother unconscious, struggling at times to breathe and seeing her body deteriorate a little more each day to dehydration.

Mom, thank you for finding the strength to make it to your 90th year, thank you for giving your family one more Christmas. Thank you for your undying love, your kindness and your devotion to your family.

I will never forget you Mom & I will forever love you.

Nonna was an amazing woman who loved to show hospitality and to make her family happy.

When I think back on my times with Nonna, I remember how sweet of a lady she was and how she loved to cook and make sure everyone was taken care of. I have the fondest memories of being in Nonna's basement and watching her cook, playing hide and seek to pass the time between meals. They were times of togetherness and learning what family really meant.

As the years passed and her condition got worse it broke my heart to see her in the nursing home deteriorating. I am glad that she is in a better place now, and I'll always love and remember her.

Nonna,
I still can’t believe that you’re gone- I don’t want to believe it. Up until the day you decided it was time to go you showed so much strength, something I’ll always admire about you. I hope you are in heaven with grandpa and no longer suffering. The memories I have with you will never leave my mind and heart. It breaks my heart to know you won’t be here to see all my future accomplishments and milestones but I have to believe you will always be watching me from above as my angel. I was so blessed to have you as my nonna and experience a love like no other. Until we meet again, I hope you’re in heaven cooking for everyone, dancing and in the garden but most importantly no longer in pain. I can’t wait until we see each other again. I’ll never forget you. I love you so much. Rest in Peace Nonna❤️
