After his short battle with stage four cancer, Anton Zvonkovic, passed away peacefully at his home in Mississauga, on May 6th 2021, in his 77th year.

Nieces Anni (Joe), Rosemary (Dennis) and Anna-Maria (Edward). Nephew’s Damir predeceased (Tatjana), Buco (Mirjana) and Joe (Melissa) as well as many cousins and friends in Canada and Croatia.
Anton was born on October 18 1944, in a village called Jurovski Brod, Croatia. He came to Canada in 1971, shortly after that he met his sweetheart Ankica the love of his life and got married in 1972. From that day forward they have been inseparable, and she was by his side to the end.
In Canada Anton worked for Canada Packers meats for the majority of his working career and later on in his life he worked for a Tool & Die Company as a delivery and caretaker role. He retired in 2010.
Anton was always there and willing to help anyone who needed a hand and always up for any task. Such as helping his brother chop firewood in the late summer to get prepared for the winter season as well as babysitting his nieces and nephews’ children which he enjoyed very much, seeing them grow up through the years. Especially Anthony who always kept him on his feet and never giving him a quiet moment.
Anton will truly be missed and will forever be in our hearts and never forgotten.
Due to COVID-19, a private family service will be held. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery. For those who wish, donations can be made to the Church of Croatian Martyrs in Mississauga.
