In Celebration of
Anton Kostyrka
May 5, 1989 -
October 6, 2023
It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Anton Kostyrka. Anton Kostyrka was born on May 5, 1989, in Lviv, Ukraine. Anton peacefully passed away in his sleep on October 6, 2023, in his home in Etobicoke, Ontario. He is survived by his two younger sisters, Anya and Lisa, and his mother Alena Kostyrka and father Andriy Kostyrka.
Anton’s life, his love for his family and friends, and his impact on this world cannot be condensed into this affirmation, but we will do our best to express the amazing son, brother, friend, and partner that he was.
Our Anton was dedicated to being known for his liveliness. Everyone who knew him knew that Anton lived a life full of passion and excitement. Anton was always busy with living his life rather than worrying. He always took it upon himself to show others a life of fun and happiness. Anton was a positive person with a contagious energy, he loved making everyone around him laugh and finding ways to bring light into their life. The magnitude of joy, love, and adventure Anton brought with him can be felt and attested by those who knew him. Anton was a strong leader since the day he was born. He was the best older brother to his youngest sisters and the caring son to his parents throughout his whole life. He did everything for his family and he pushed all of us to be the best version of ourselves. His ambition and mentality kept him going, always preserved with integrity and courage. He always enlightened everyone with his wisdom and thoughts, he wanted to share his beautiful strong mind with others. Anton had a golden heart, and some would say golden hands, he did everything he could with his two hands. Anton was a creator, an artist, a builder, an engineer, everyone’s Mr.Fix It. He brought life to his garden, his home, and wherever he went. He loved his family, and friends, and always cared deeply for children and animals. His spontaneity and kindness showed through when, much to the surprise of his whole family, rescued abandoned baby animals and brought them home to care for them. He showed his love to everyone he could, his pet cats, dogs, birds, fish, and even a raccoon. He helped random people on the street and provided them with food, money, clothes, blankets and anything he could give. He had so much love to give and he did give it all.
There will never be enough words to describe the beautiful handsome person he was to us.
Anton never stopped being who he was, he was proud and secure, and we will always love him for that.
Our family expresses great gratitude to all those who have loved Anton Kostyrka. We thank you for loving him, caring for him, laughing with him, and bringing out his beautiful smile in any way you knew how.
The visitation will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 17 at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel (2357 Bloor St W, Etobicoke, ON, M6S 1P4) followed by burial at Park Lawn Cemetery (2845 Bloor St W, Etobicoke, ON M8X 1A6).
