Born in Lithuania, and immigrated to Canada in 1954.

Anni passed away peacefully at St. Joe's Hospital in Toronto at the age of 97. Cherished wife of Alex (deceased 2013), beloved sister of Adolf, Emilie, and Ida (all deceased) and devoted mother of Renate and current fur babies Daisy and Foxie. Anni was a long time member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Toronto, and enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and neighbours in Etobicoke, and at the cottage in Wasaga Beach. She was an avid reader and enjoyed travelling. Anni also enjoyed concerts, movies and especially live theatre.

Family and friends are welcome to visit at Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1691 Bloor St. West, Toronto, on Thursday December 22nd from 11-11:30 a.m. with service to follow at 1145am. All are welcome to then proceed to Prospect Cemetery for interment, and then return to the church for luncheon and to share memories of Anni. She lived well and will be remembered lovingly.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church, St Joseph Hospital, Toronto, or Georgian Triangle Humane Society, Collingwood, Ontario.

It was my absolute pleasure to meet both Mr.&Mrs. Rittberger as a teenager. Anni was such a hospitable, kind person on my hang out visits with Renate.

Reconnecting after many years with my high school friends via social media- I was delighted to follow her exploits in her senior years. Renate truly helped give her, her best life. A life well lived indeed.
