Anne and Gerhard came on the same ship across the ocean from Germany to Canada 1957.
The two of them became friends and stayed that way until Gerhard passed away Jan15th 2021.
Anna came up to visit us sometimes on the bus or we picked her up and brought her up to Point Clark.
We lived lakeside and she loved swimming in Lake Huron and tend to our flower gardens. Anna joined us also for a trip in our RV to Sauble Beach for the day to enjoy the sunshine and swimming. She happened to fall asleep in the sun and got burnt badly , but just shrugged it off as nothing had happened. She was such a trooper and her sense of humour was awesome. We sure enjoyed her company and loved her. She met Gustel in Point Clark and they really hit it off together.
Anytime we drove to Toronto we always stopped at her place for a visit and have lunch with her.
In the last years when Anna had to move into a care facility we had a few visits, and she was not very happy.. she was such an independent lady. Anne was a very sweet lady and she was very close to Gerhard’s and my hearts.
She will be missed. Now she is on another journey maybe with Gustel and Gerhard.
Peach love to all of them, they are all on the same journey.

Dear aunt Änne,
after a long, fulfilled life, you have now closed your eyes forever.
I loved your manner and especially your humor. We spent wonderful times together. I am very grateful for that. I will not forget any of it.
Rest in peace. You will always be in my heart.
Your Gudrun
Erinnerungen sind wie Sterne in der Nacht.
Sie funkeln hell in unseren Herzen.
We met Anne and Alfons in 1959 when they came into my parent's Radio and Television store on Bloor St. In Toronto to buy a radio. Ever since then my parents and myself have been good friends. Anne loved to travel and together with her husband she booked many trips to a variety of destinations. She loved meeting people and making new friends. She was always there if you needed her, helpful to all her many friends and family in Germany and always willing to help with a smile. Our dear Anne will be sorely missed and we will celebrate her life as best we can.
I have known Anne for almost 10 years and I found her one the kindest and sweetest persons I have known. It was always a great joy to visit her along with Norm for afternoon coffee and cake .She was knowledgeable on a wide range of topics as well as having travelled widely.
I know I can speak for all in that we miss her greatly. .She was a shining light in this world.
