Peacefully, on Friday, January 24, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Theodore “Ted”. Loving mother of Jonathan, Benjamin and Rachel (Mike). Adored grandmother to Sam Suto. Predeceased by her parents John and Frances Ambrozic.
Following her parents’ emigration from Slovenia, Anne was born on December 17, 1938, in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. She attended Queen Elizabeth Public School and Kirkland Lake Collegiate and Vocational Institute. After graduating from high school at the age of sixteen, she boarded a bus to Toronto with two of her closest friends and attended Shaw Business College in advance of becoming a legal secretary.
On October 10, 1964, in her hometown of Kirkland Lake, Anne married Ted, the love of her life. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past October, shortly before Ted’s passing on November 12, 2024.
On top of raising her three children, Anne was a tireless volunteer, embarked on a number of small business ventures, and translated her impeccable taste into a career as an interior decorator.
A kind, generous friend and tremendous host, Anne will be missed greatly.
Special thanks to Dr. Marica Varga and the staff at St. Joseph’s Health Centre for their ongoing care.
