In Celebration of

Anna Theresa Kazmierowski

December 11, 1922 -  October 16, 2020

On October 16, 2020, peacefully, at the age of 97, the Kazmierowski family sadly lost their matriarch.

Anna Theresa (Resi) Kazmierowski was a farm girl in Germany during WWII who fell in love with a Polish prisoner of war farm labourer (Waclaw Kazmierowski, d.1987).

Courageously, in 1951, they moved to Canada to start a new life.

Without much education or any family support, they managed to raise and educate 4 accomplished sons; Bernard (Sheila), Thomas (Alice), Michael (Margaret) and John (Brenda) who provided Anna with 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Anna was a beacon of love, support and determination whose delicious family dinners, birthday cakes and potato salad were relished by all.

Anna set an example of a strong work ethic and an unwavering faith in God…….a life that appears simple but a life deeply appreciated by her family who love and miss her. We pray that God will watch over Anna and wrap her in HIS comforting love.

Due to COVID restrictions, a private family visitation and interment has been arranged. Mass at All Saints Roman Catholic Church to be by invitation only.

For those who wish, donations to Humber River Hospital or Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Our hearts go out to you and all in your family for the loss of your dear mother and Oma, a truly beloved and deeply respected matriarch.
May your strong family ties and deep love for each other, as instilled in you through both parents, help you support one another through this great loss.
As friends, we feel your sadness and send you our love in hopes it will bring some comfort. May she rest in peace knowing she did a supremely admirable job raising, nurturing and supporting her successful, caring, strong and beloved family. We know she will be deeply missed.

When we were kids, every visit to the family home on Shaw St was joyful and full of family warmth. Resi was full of love for her guests, and also fed us very well with her salads, roasts and desserts! Goodbye, Tante.

Sincere condolences on the death of your mother. I remember her well from my time at St. Peter’s. Saw the obituary in the Star and just had to reach out. I will remember her at Mass. Blessings to the whole family.
