In Celebration of

Anna Rizen

December 13, 1928 -  October 27, 2020

It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of our Mother, Baba, at Credit Valley Hospital, on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at the age of 91. Loving Mother of Ihor (Addrene), Irene (Terry), and Annie. Much loved Grandmother of Danya, Larissa, Tanya, Lydia, Rachel, and Jacob. There are no ways to describe the greatness that our Mother, Baba, brought into our lives. She was a remarkable woman with an endless list of traits and deeds that were done for all of us. Whether you saw Mom in the kitchen making cabbage rolls or in the garden planting vegetables, she always had a smile on her face, and a comment to express. All of her life she worked very hard for her children, and now it is time for her to rest. We thank you Mom, we thank you Baba! We love you with all of our hearts.

A private family service will be held, followed by interment at St. Volodymyr’s Cemetery.

I want to express my sadness to Irene, Terry, Tanya and Lydia for your loss and your entire family. I always enjoyed seeing your mom at your gatherings and yes her cabbage rolls were fabulous, she was a great cook. She loved cooking and it showed it was a passion of hers. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Be strong. God Bless.

Love you mom (mamma) with all my heart. Your courage to make a better life for yourself in Canada, your devotion and generosity to us-your children and grandchildren, your gardening green thumb for glorious vegetables and flowers of bloom every singe year which shamed the neighbors, our special family holidays together, the first day you walked me to school. Memories I will cherish forever. Love you always and forever.
