In Celebration of

Anna "Ann" Sophie Ogiltree

August 8, 1943 -  January 13, 2024

Passed away at Etobicoke General Hospital on Saturday January 13, 2024 at the age of 80, beside her husband James, the love of her life for 60 years. Ann was the beloved daughter of Michael Koltun and Sophia Zacharuk. Ann is the much loved sister of Irene Buchowsky and the late Michael Koltun, and will be fondly remembered by her nieces Kristen and Patricia, and nephews Steven and John.

Ann and her family immigrated to Toronto from Belgium in 1951 at the age of 8. After graduating from school, she worked for 37 years at the Ontario Ministry of Transportation. Ann was also a longtime member of the Runnymede United Church Choir. Ann appreciated nature and grew to be a passionate lover of all animals. Over the years, her family included several dogs and cats, as well as two aquariums. She loved to cook and garden, and was a devoted Blue Jays fan. Ann also loved to travel with Jim, embarking on several cruises to Scotland and the Caribbean.

The family would like to thank the ICU team at Etobicoke General Hospital, as well as the 7th floor staff, for their kindness and care.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., on Sunday, January 21st from 4-7 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, January 22nd at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Prospect Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be made to Runnymede United Church.

Dear Jim: My sincere condolences for the loss of your dearest wife Ann. I had the good fortune to have worked with Ann at MTO on many occasions during her lengthy term of service. Ann had an impressive and enviable work ethic, and ability to achieve remarkable results. Her warm and pleasant smile would always illuminate the office, and boardroom. Ann was adept at developing warm and mutual rapport, and trust with everyone she encountered.
At this time of loss, I only hope we can temper our sorrow with the many fond memories we have of Ann!
With sympathy,
Bruce Stonehouse
