In Celebration of

Ann Worobec

August 23, 1934 -  December 1, 2019

Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at the age of 85. Loving wife of Russell for 66 years who she met at the age of 15. The most amazing mother of Kim (Maarten) and Deb (John). Dear sister of Dr. Andrew Tynio (the late Sylvia) and the late Lecia Cree. Grandmother of Calla and Kieran. Caring aunt of Christine, Adam, Adrian, Alexandra and the late Aaron and Andrea. Ann was known for her wonderful sense of humour, abundance of energy and positive attitude which she shared with everyone. For those who wish to honour Ann, we ask you for a donation of your time. Family and friends are a precious gift. Take the time to tell someone you love them, hug them, visit them or just pick up the phone and call them. A celebration of Ann’s life will be announced at a later date.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Worobec family in this difficult time. To Russ, Kim and Martin, grandchildren, friends, extended family and especially Deb and John.
Ann was a remarkable woman who lived a remarkable life. She was intelligent, kind, wise and full of love for family and friends alike. She had an incredible wit and a mischievous sense of humour and could always make me laugh. It was a priviledge to have known her and consider her not only a friend but family.
As Deb used to say " This goes out to Mom-where ever she is and whoever she's with".
Thank you Ann for sharing your life with us. You will be greatly missed and always remembered.
All love,
Warren Seale

What a strong woman we had here and a woman who was very wise about life and people and circumstances. I love this picture because of her eyes and I miss her for her personality yet I know it was her time to go and she was OK. with this and wanted to see her mother again. She was always so direct and graceful and carried this through to the end. She always said she was the luckiest woman to have the 2 best daughters in the world. She felt blessed and happy.

When she let her hair grow in naturally, curly and white, with her broad smile, I always told her she looked like the Queen, Queen Elizabeth.

I am so sorry Russell for the loss of the love of your life. Who nowadays can accomplish such a long and successful marriage? It is something to be very proud of and very grateful for so always remember this and know that you are blessed and Ann was very proud of being sure of her pick of a husband so early in life who also gave her her wonderful loving family.

I am so glad to have had her in my life. We shared the same birhdays, so I was not always able to attend the special ones. and her wedding anniversary was the same day as my 91 year old mother's birthday, but we did make the celebration of Ann and Russell's 60th anniversary!

Cherish in the days to come, all the wonderful memories of Ann, that they keep your heart strong in these difficult days of loss, for she would definitely want everyone to understand that she was strong and with peace and without fear. Yes she was fearless and content. I saw her once a month for years and I know even near the end, she was always content and had her own inner peace. She definitely had inner peace and for that she was the Queen to me.

Find comfort.

Dianne and Ken.
