Dr. Angele Matilde Kazlauskas (nee Kolas)

July 10, 1935 - June 4, 2020

On the morning of June 4th, 2020 Dr. Angele Kazlauskas DDS, passed away peacefully at the age of 84 at Oakville Trafalger Memorial Hospital.

Angele was proud to be one of only three graduating women from a class of 150 from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry in 1959, and continued her love of dentistry practicing for over 65 years.

Among the first female dentists to practice in Oakville, Ontario, Angele treated thousands of patients from the poor to the famous without discrimination and many times without charge.

Angele was the founder of the dental charity ‘Perlas’ which funds dental services to orphans and the poor in her birth country Lithuania.

Predeceased by her loving husband Sigitas Kazlauskas, Angele is survived by her sister Liuda Lecnickas and husband Mindaugas Lecnickas and nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be announced after the COVID-19 crisis.

Liudyte, mes tik šiandien sužinojo apie Angelės mirtį. Tikrai nuošidžiai reiškiame gilią užuojautą. Tikiuos kad galėsime dalyvauti jos Celebration of Life, kai praeis kovidas19. Vis plaukia malonūs prisiminimai nuo pat atvykimo į kanadą, kai žaizdavome lietuvišką mokyklą, ir Angelė budavo mokytoja, dar ant Claremont Ave. Mūsų adresas čia yra 595 Edisto Lake Road, Wagener, SC 29164. Telefonas 803-564-6064. Aš jūsų neturiu, bet mėginsiu surast ir paskambinti. Nors toli gyvename, ir kažkaip nesueinam, dažnai pagalvoju apie jus visus. Mylim. Čia užprašysime Šv. Angele was a lovely lady, compassionate and giving whenever she
saw a need.
Wedding pictures taken on her property overlooking Lake Ontario
