In Celebration of

Andrew Nowakowski

November 29, 1946 -  June 23, 2022

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the sudden yet peaceful passing of Andrew Nowakowski at his home, in his 76th year, on Thursday, June 23, 2022.

He leaves behind his adoring wife of 43 years Irene (nee Szalowski), his loving son Julian (Kaitlyn), two wonderful grandsons Lukas and Arthur and his dear brother Zbigniew (Ewa) in Poland.

Andrew was a creative mechanical engineer with a passion for his family, music, physics, cosmology, travelling, art, cycling and skiing. He was a lover of animals, especially his late dog Wiggles.

He spoke five languages well, including Spanish which he learned late in life.
He was loved and respected by people whose lives he touched and will be deeply missed by many friends in Canada, Poland, the U.S. and Austria.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane Subway, on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 2 – 5 pm. Funeral Mass will take place at Holy Angels Church, 61 Jutland Rd, Etobicoke, ON M8Z 2G6, on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, donations may be made to Parkinson's Canada or a charity of your choice.

All that we love deeply becomes a part of us” - Helen Keller
